World's first products made in Korea

There are words such as 'the first in the world' and 'the only one in the world' that make your heart tremble just by listening. Particularly when 'Korean' is added in front of it, pride and pride can rise. Among the things we use for granted in our daily lives, there are 'the first products invented in Korea' . What is it really like?

MP3 Player

Is Korea a people of interest? MP3, which was made to conveniently listen to music anytime, anywhere, is now a part of mobile phone functions, but it was a product that was essential for listening to music in the past.

It was first developed in 1997 by Saehan Information System, a Korean company, under the name'MP-Man'. However, the response was poor because it was portable and could only contain about 10 songs. Since then, it has gained a lot of popularity by developing a player that is much smaller and can hold more songs in digital casts. Although few people use MP3s separately now, it was a product that many people loved in the 1990s.

Milk pack

'The triangular roof milk pack, invented in Korea'? The first invention of the milk pack was US-based EX-Xell-O. However, the person who developed the shape of the current milk pack is Dr. Shin Seok-gyun, who is called 'Korean Edison'.

In the past, a part of the milk pack was cut with scissors to drink, but Dr. Shin Seok-gyu, who felt uncomfortable with this, devised an easier method. Thanks to this, it can be easily opened by hand, poured conveniently, and the remaining liquid can be closed and stored.

Shin first encountered milk cartons at the US Army PX when the UN forces entered during the Korean War. It is different from the milk pack we are using now, but Shinshi has devised the current milk pack by developing a method of adding and folding waterproof paper. It was a groundbreaking idea now used by people around the world, but unfortunately, the patent was not registered due to the exhibition situation at the time. Shin said, “Over 170 countries around the world currently use this milk pack. But in those days, I didn't have the benefit of the patent system, so in simple terms, I served."

PC room

Once you enter the PC room, where you don't know how time will go, Korea is also the first PC room with hundreds of computers. Starting with the PC Cafe in Apgujeong in 1995, the history continues for about 25 years.

Until early 1998, it suffered a sluggish operation, but after the launch of the online game'StarCraft', the popularity of PC cafes is said to have skyrocketed. Nowadays, there are many places in each neighborhood, and there are places selling food as well as fancy equipment.

Seasoned Chicken

Chicken, the number one midnight snack for Koreans. It is captivating the public with its unique crunchy texture and spicy sweet taste. While various types of chicken such as cheese, tteokbokki, and fruit are being produced, did you know that Korea was the first seasoned chicken tossed with fried whole chicken?

Although there are many controversies, it is said that Pericana Chicken founder Yoon Jong-gye saw the chicken left behind by customers when he ran a chicken shop in the past. In foreign countries, seasoned chicken is called'Korean-style fried chicken'.

Cushion pact

Korea is also the first cushion pact used by many women because it is easy to use and carry. The first place that developed the powder pact was an American cosmetic company, but the cushion pact applied to the face by infiltrating the foundation with a sponge was first developed by Amorepacific, a domestic cosmetic company.

In the days when there was only solid and tube-type cosmetics, an employee of Amorepacific brand IOPE who saw a parking ticket evenly stamped with stamp ink came up with an idea and developed a cushion pact that was stamped like a stamp.

Cheering bar balloon

Baseball season is back. What do you need to prepare before going to the baseball field? There may be various things such as chicken and beer, but among them, the cheering bar balloon, which is a long cylindrical plastic balloon, cannot be excluded. This was first developed by Kim Chul-ho in 1994, and it is said to be a hit product that is gaining popularity both domestically and around the world because it makes a sound about 10 times louder than when clapping two cheering bar balloons. The first place I used was the LG Twins Professional Baseball Team.
